PUPPETS ARE MAGICAL!

puppet.jpg
June 14th I embarked on the 2nd video in a series of videos for Paul Frank. It was a long sun burnt day of shooting on location in Long Beach, but everyone had fun and filming couldn’t haven’t gone any better. I cant wait for everybody to see it.

Summer Build

bike1.jpg
I recently came up on a Bianchi 1975ish road frame. I wanted to build a fixed gear bar-basher with some style to it. I’m going to keep the true “celeste green” color and throw in some other colors like red and gold.

It’s gunna be pho-rasta-wave. We’ll see how it turns out i guess. My man Jimmy is gunn help so it’ll be tight and I’ll show the progress.

Vintage Re-Painting

dan4th.jpg
I’m working on a series of paintings that have a recycled touch to them. I have been collecting old “Bob Ross” type landscape paintings from thrift stores, garage sales, and trash cans. The purpose is to go over the paintings with my own work. Not to entirly cover-up, but to add to the original with an idea. These are recycled paintings of scenes in the arctic, wilderness, and beaches. Over each I am painting an animal that is endangered, and could be found in such an area, accompanyed by a cleaver or ironic phrase. Hopefully I can finish this shit by the end of the summer. Here is a shot of my signature next to the original artist’s signature.

Yurts & Bows

santafe_bow.jpg
My uncle Keith lives in the mountians of Santa Fe in a ten foot around Yurt. It is compleatly self sufficient powered by propain, rain water, and solar panels. I have to say it is a pretty sweet setup if you dont mind shitting in a hole in the ground (which he calls the “art gallery”). This is me acting out my warrior instinct shooting arrows with a machete strapped to my side.
