My whip is done. The best way to discribe it is to remember great movies like Gleaming The Cube. Through my whole movie I had this beat up old bike that i could never win the girl or championship with. This is like in the final scene where I need to win to save the family business. The only way to do that is with the dream bike I always pass by the local bike shop and can never have. The day I finished the bike I felt like I finally had that dream bike. here she is in all her glory. I call her Celeste.

Well my summer bike project didn’t pan out to be that great. I got all these parts for my frame and never could put them on the bike. Why, because the damn seatpost is jammed in there so tight its like somebody welded it. So I did the next best thing. I found a guy in Michigan that was selling the exact bike, but compleat and better condition so I bought it. Im in love with this bike so I had to have the exact frame i was working on. This time around its easy because i have all the parts. Today I will finish my project. I’ll show the video once i’m done.

Today there were 30 lay-offs at my work. I lost many good friends to the tussle of corporate “Snake-Suits.” One of those people was a Ninja named Ariel Erestingcol. He is one of the most talented and influential people that was with the company. Way too talented to be confined under the roof of the corporate eye. Another was Arlo, unruly as his blader-hater departure was, he is better off to use his abilities in the company ment for greatness. Good luck to all those who have fallen to the corporate wrath. May all creatives prevail. Never let the “man” hold you down Ninjas. There is a design to design for us all.

After a lot of grinding, cutting, screwing, and drilling; I’m done with my new blades.
Here we see the grand canyon of royel grooves. No way im covering that original backslide plate up. The only way to get in the barrel. Notice the “lucky white cuff.” Only one of maybe 3 sets ever made. I lost the left one awhile back.
Nothing beats the GC frames. I carved up the sole plate off the giant beef-cake k2′s if you didn’t already notice.
Check out the realestate on that sole. Brand new Heat® Stockwell rubber and some untapped Abec5′s for face-folding speed. These puppies are built for speed and built for comfort. I have a feeling I’m going to enjoy breaking them in.

This weekend we left the sunny ocean for another sunny ocean. Well, it was a lake, Michigan to be exact. My brothers’ new wife is from there, and thats where the wedding was. Shelley had never been to the mid-west so it was quit a culture shock when she learned Michigan is home to only seven Asians. But it is home to a lot of over-weight people. So i told her all the Asians were eaten. It’s just easier this way. All-in-all, a great weekend with the family, and seeing my big brother tie that proverbial knot. So long mid-west.
