KILL SLAYER

This past weekend marked the eighth annual Bitter Cold Showdown. It also marked my first time going to it. Columbus Ohio is the location. Its basically a massive industry trade show and skate contest. All the major companies had booths and stuff was flying off shelves to the kids at more then half the price it retails for. My first impression of the place was “damn this park is huge” and my second was “damn this many people still rollerblade.”

Then shortly after my third impression was “where’s the beer?” Only to have the answer right in front of my face with legendary drunk Ryan Ball.

I stopped by the Be-mag booth to chalk it with my logo. Over the “CANADA” writing. Being from colorado we tipically take Canadian things and make them better(Avalanche NHL).

On my way to the Heat booth I caught a rare glimpse of “Best Trick” superstar Ben Weiss. This was the best shot I could get before his entourage of bodyguards slapped the camera away.

At the Heat booth wheels and shirts where being slung all over the swarms of skaters. Here is a partial team shot. Bailey, me, Tory, and Jeff (mr. 2nd place)

And what trip isnt complete without taking home a souvenir from the local town bar. In our case P.J. and Ben decided Jack would look better in their hotel room. Till next year bitter cold we’ll meet again.

Pretty much everything everywhere right now is remixed. Even my regular burger at Jack In the Box has been remixed to a melty steak burger with grilled onions. I’m not complaining. I light of this I have downloaded too many remixes to remember. Few stand out anymore, but for those that do, I selected my favorites to share incase you want to get in the remix. Have a listen.

I made my logo out of wood. I might make a bunch of them and do something fun with them but for now I’m planning on applying it to a painting for the Earthmess series show. Date yet to be announced.

I snapped this photo while I was on a trip up north. Clint Eastwood is 78 now. Hes pretty much a leather handbag of american film history. It was an honor, and weird at the same time.

I just finished compiling a bunch of old footage and some new stuff for a little online skate section. A lot of the footage has been used in videos but who the hell cares… it’s the net and i’ll do what i want. Blade!
