This is the “making of” video of a trophy i made for the 1st annual “Blade Cup.” I spent about 15 hours making it from start to finish. Its Carved from walnut, internet bought 12 inch Rambo survival knife, aluminum mini frame, Them Goods swiss bearings, with a little slice of love. Don’t make something if your not gunna do it right i always say. This thing is built for survival and sturdy enough for everyday use.
The idea came when I was like “Jon, I want to make a trophy for the Cup… its gunna be a blade… but a blade. You know?” then Jon said “Ha, sounds cool man. Do it.” Then i did it hard.

My good friend Ben just came in town to visit. He had been away in africa for a few years in the peace core. he had a drawing i did in his shack out there as a sort of reminder of home. When he came back he left that drawing in the shack for the next tenant to enjoy. So i did a small version for him to get a tat of it. I think im going to do the same on my arm. Fear the Black rabbit
This is the newest commercial I directed. look for it airing on ESPN, FOX, and FUEL. I caught it during some sports shows. may-june 2011. Hope you like it and stuff.
Not that i’m a gun nut or anything but i could really find some useful things for this kinda firepower.
1. Yard work
2. Giving my friends haircuts
3. Turning animals and people into smoothies
4. Putting speed holes in my car
5. Storming the beaches of Normandy
Sometimes hard work pays off i guess. Or at least gets recognized. Thanks OC Addy! We received 3 silvers and 3 bronze awards for the Kawasaki commercials I directed last year. I will now be posting under the handle “The Award Winning Director Slayer.”
My good friend Freddy invited us up for the weekend to the Sequoia National Monument to snowshoe and stay in his cabin. We did that pretty hard. Lots of fun. Check out the face-plant shot. its fun to re-watch.
So i was sent out to document a gator hunt in florida. I can say that i knew what was going to happen when i got there and i wasn’t a big fan of the idea. I have never seen a gator let alone seen one die. But we did and it did. They shot a 10 foot gator that day, and it was about the same age as me. Makes you think that life’s a fragile thing. One day your sucking on a swamp rat. The next day your dead meat.
I just got back from a fun adventure to Peru. Lots of good food, nice folks, and coco leaves. I got to see a lot of the country from the beach, to the jungle, and up in the Andes. I’ll share more when the full story goes live.
