We just wrapped up a test shoot for a product shoot. One of my favorite people I met through working with Kawasaki is their “Handler” freddy. This guys job in life is to bring you vehicles to any part of the world, make sure they always work, and sometimes do some professional driving. We shared a bond pretty quick when i learned he was the camera-bike operator for one of my favorite movies “Air Borne.” He was the dude driving the motorcycle down “Devils Back Bone” following the bladers. Hes got blader-blood for life. Watch Freds moves on display in this dance jam I made out of some B-Roll.
I just finished up a commercial i did for my good friends at Fosted Cupcakery. enjoy!

Fresh delivery to the studio yesterday was the first prototype of the DAN4TH™ Nike® Shox™ collaboration . Not really, but you can imagine what it would be like… Well I did and designed a shoe on NikeID.com some months back. This Color pallet is familiar with pretty much everything I do for myself. It has been referred to by scholars as “Pho Rasta.” Whatever the case I like the idea of a “one-of-a-kinda” shoe. It took about a Month and a half from design to doorstep and only ran about 30 bucks more then if I would have store bought some Shox.
So I came across this film made by Eames. It is a spot for polaroid about the sx-70 land camera. Takes you back to a simpler aesthetic. Plus i own one of these cameras and it made me jealous I cant use it anymore. They stopped making the 70 film a few years back. Some the photos that came out of that camera were amazing. Instantly look like they where shot in the 70’s. And the depth of field on that camera is pretty amazing. I might be able to find the film somewhere on The Net. fun.
For this entire summer I have been traveling around shooting Kawasaki’s new products for 2010. I haven’t been posting to much this summer because of how sensitive the client is about photos getting out before the product is available. We just launched all our hard work on kawasaki.com. So With that, i gathered up all the fun photos of the crew this whole summer. Thanks to Lisa and Doug for taking all these behind the scenes photos.
Until next time
So for the last 3 years i have been looking for this old car/truck that subaru made in the late 70’s and through the 80’s. The only reason I think that i have wanted one so bad is that is a car that really fits me as a “person.” It is well known that “people” need to drive, thus the Brat found its way into my heart. So after much looking and negotiating with people around the country I found one about 2 hours away from home. She is in great condition as far as “mind, body, and soul” goes, but i will be adding a lot of my own touches to her in the months to come. I’ll show more videos as they “come up.” (i’ll stop using unnecessary “” now.)
once again we the road trip went off with epic proportions. the head count this year was at about 67. still breaking its record every year for most people in attendance.
